Lost Symphony eBook Christine Anne Libbey

I loved this book! It kept me reading until dawn. LOST SYMPHONY is packed with mystery, intrigue, romance, and music. What else could one ask for?

From the start, I was drawn in by the mystery of the kidnapped young composer, Vorovskoy Mir, in pre-war Moscow—his music seemingly forever lost. Then, fast-forward to present day, and we have the mystery of the past slowly unravel via the efforts of the protagonist Krissy Burns (a gifted violinist), the great composer Yenawtsky, Detective Plushenko, and others.

Christine Anne Libbey captures Russia brilliantly. I have traveled to St. Petersburg several times and the city descriptions and ambiance portrayed in this book are spot on. She also mixes humor in with suspense in a way that is difficult to do, but pulls it off with radiance. The writing style, entertaining with subtle well-paced clues dribbled in, displays her incredible talent. The entangled plot will please both mystery buffs and thriller addicts.

Classical music, Russian Mafia, romantic intrigue, mysteries from the past, and historical settings—this is exactly the type of book I love. Be prepared to be taken. I know I was. LOST SYMPHONY is quite mesmerizing.

Lost Symphony eBook Christine Anne Libbey Reviews

Good read
Romance, mystery, murder plots, unforgettable characters (Detective Plushenko is hilarious), angry reindeer, and a wild motorcycle ride through the outback of Siberia make for a suspenseful, fun thriller.
Gave it 5 stars because it was hard to put down, a great page turner!
This has been a really great book, I found it really great written and definitely with amazing characters to fall in loved with! And an amazingly great story of mystery, romance and music!
I really enjoy reading a lot and I have found on this book a great story with lovely character and a plot full of drama ans mystery, perfect to spend all the nights reading until fall sleep. A great book to spend the weekends on another world . Definitely a book that you are not able to put down until the very end of it! Great!
This was a well-written and intelligent mystery novel with some hilarious characters! Detective Plushenko was one of the most memorable characters I have ever read. His scene with Anne was genius! The book starts out very serious but builds and builds and builds into this fantastic and satisfying ending.
I just love how Christine is able to combine these serious topics and mysteries with an upbeat sense of humor. That makes her novels so much fun and they boost my mood.
I like the fact that this isn't a Russian spy novel or 'Russians are evil' novel...It is just a story set in Russia. Nothing more to it than that.
Just enjoy the ride...and avoid the reindeer!! Five Stars!
Krissy is a trailed violinist who receives the invitation of a lifetime. At the request of a world famous musician, she travels to St. Petersburg. But strange things begin to happen, making Krissy wonder if there's something rotten in St. Petersburg...or perhaps she is having another mental breakdown.

Terrific story, fast-paced, and brimming with suspects. And not everyone is how they seem...
I have been reading a lot of spy novels that are set in Russia lately and, unfortunately, they depict nearly all of the Russians as evil henchmen. As I know this isn't the case, I was attracted to author Christine Anne Libbey's "Lost Symphony" for some balance. The story of Krissy, who gets her dream opportunity to play violin in Russia and ends up in a super intriguing mystery when she arrives. Yes, there are some bad Russians, but this was a very fun adventure that had me laughing quite a few times and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Recommended.
Mysteries. Mysteries are always better with a little madness, romance, history, and...MUSIC! Krissy Burns dreams come true, but they come with a price. As soon as Krissy reaches St. Petersburg, her world begins to chip at the edges. A mystery of the lost symphony of Vorovskoy Mir rises to her and her new lover Viktor's attention.

As I learned rather quickly in this book, everything is not as it seems. You must keep an open mind, open eyes, and your imagination intact while reading this. I could not believe how wild this ride was; I never wanted it to end. Author Christine Anne Libbey brings suspense, thrills, and unlocks a mystery only a true musical artist can unlock. I wonder what she has in store next!
