Riveting episodes in this book of kidnapping, slavery, the lawsuit, separation, tragedy, but also some very uplifting messages about reunion and freedom.

Interesting historical reading
A wonderful firsthand account of a struggle for freedom with an uncommon triumph. Mrs. Delaney has an interesting story that should be read by more. I always enjoy learning the true stories of slavery in the United States. This provides great insight to the plight of a people.
